The School of the Art Institute of Chicago has taken away Kanye West’s honorary college degree.
In a statement released by the school, the institute revealed that it is taken away it’s honorary degree from the rapper.
According to them, “his anti-black, antisemitic, and incendiary statements, particularly those directed at Black and Jewish communities are disgusting and condemnable”
The school has been pressured into taking this decision following Ye’s recent behavior and comments towards the Black and Jewish society.
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago awarded Kanye a honorary degree in 2015. According to them, the rapper was then “transformative and genre-defying”
Ye has been facing criticisms for his several antisemitic comments and also going against the Jews and Blacks.
