Kalonzo Musyoka ; Biography of Kenya’s 10th Vice President

Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka was a Kenyan Vice President on 24th December 1953 in Tseikuru, in a remote part of Mwingi District in eastern Kenya.

He was the tenth Vice-President of Kenya from 2008 to 2013 after having served under President Mwai Kibaki as Minister for Home Affairs and Minister of Environment and Natural Resources.

Parents

Kalonzo’s parents are Peter Musyoka Mairu and Sarah Malia Musyoka. His siblings are Lilian Koki Mutui, James Nzilu Musyoka.

He attended Tseikuru Full Primary School to obtain his basic education certificate, further went to Kitui High School in Kitui for the O-Level and advanced level certificate from Meru School in Meru from where he graduated in 1973.

He holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the Mediterranean Institute of Management in Cyprus.

Marriage

Kalonzo Musyoka married Pauline Kalonzo in 1985. They have three children; Damaris Musenya, Klein Kalonzo, Kennedy Musyoka.
