Famous musician, Akon has said that, he feel bad walking around with half a million dollars jewelry metal all over him when people cannot afford a piece of bread to eat.

The Senegalese born American RnB star revealed this in an interview with Hiphopdx where he talked about how the idea of Akon City came to his head. A project which aims at helping people in his country.
He also made it clear, he feel at some point that, his purpose is to help people. He was exposed to fame and riches to be able to help people.
“That’s when I starts to think and kind of really pull my life together understand the purpose of my role… right… so you like… okay, I did all is these … I got a lot of work came out with no question of where I’m going …how I’m going to get there…What is the next step… ok I want to be famous I gotten famous… I want to be rich I gotten rich so what is next?… right so all these things now you start to realise the more you start to travel, you start experiencing certain things… certain things that didn’t feel good to you before, start feeling great to you now the things that felt great to you and then now… don’t feel great to you no more like I got all these houses, all these cars, all these jewelry and then I go on these areas where people can barely afford bad pieces of bread and I’m walking around with half a million dollars jewelry metal all over me…you know what I mean… so it feel so bad”…
