Cliff Richard children: Is he having kids?

Sir Cliff Richard is an English singer who holds dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and Barbados. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 250 million albums sold worldwide. He is the third-best-selling artist in UK Singles Chart history, behind the Beatles and Elvis Presley, with total sales of over 21.5 million singles.

Cliff Richard was born in British India at King George’s Hospital (now KGMU Hospital), Victoria Street, in Lucknow, which was then a part of British India. Rodger Oscar Webb, a manager for an Indian Railways catering contractor, and Dorothy Marie Dazely, his mother, were his parents. His parents also lived in Howrah, West Bengal, for a while. They chose to relocate to England permanently after the violence of Direct Action Day. Richard is mostly of English ancestry, however he did have a great-grandmother who was half Welsh and half Spanish, as she was the daughter of a Spanish great-great-grandmother named Emiline Joseph Rebeiro.

The Webbs lived in a small house in Maqbara, close to Hazratganj’s major commercial center. Dorothy’s mother worked at the La Martiniere Girls’ School as a dormitory matron. Joan, Jacqui, and Donna (1942–2016) are Richard’s three sisters.

Following India’s independence in 1947, the family proceeded on a three-week sea voyage onboard the SS Ranchi to Tilbury, Essex, England. The Webbs relocated from a company-supplied flat in Howrah, near Calcutta, to a semi-detached house in Carshalton, from relative wealth in India. Harry Webb went to Stanley Park Juniors, a local primary school in Carshalton, north Surrey. His father got a job at Thorn Electrical Industries’ credit control office in 1949, and the family moved in with other relatives in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, where he went to Kings Road Junior Mixed Infants School, until they were given a three-bedroom council house at 12 Hargreaves Close in nearby Cheshunt in 1950.

From 1952 until 1957, he attended Cheshunt Secondary Modern School. (After being renovated and renamed Bishopslea School, the school was renamed Riversmead School.) He stayed on past the minimal leaving age to complete GCE Ordinary Level examinations and received a pass in English literature as a member of the top stream. He then went to work for Atlas Lamps as a filing clerk. Cliff Richard Court, a development of retirement flats in Cheshunt, is named after him.

Skiffle piqued Harry Webb’s curiosity. His father purchased him a guitar when he was 16, and in 1957, he joined the Quintones, a school vocal harmony group, before singing with the Dick Teague Skiffle Group.
