The world cup is one of the most celebrated departments of football among a lot of football enthusiasts. The world cup since its inception in 1930 has brought to the limelight lots of talents because of its universal nature. It gives young, ambitious and talented footballers to the podium to showcase their potentials.

In 2010, Africa was fortunate to host its first edition in South Africa, which promoted the tranquility, cooperation and togetherness between Africa and the diaspora. The gap bridged by the 2010 edition of the FIFA world cup between Africa and the outside world isn’t an exaggeration but something one can prudently write home about.
On November 20th 2022, the 21st edition commenced at the Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, which was the first of its kind in the Arabian Gulf Region with great African football nation such as Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco and Cameroon as representatives for Africa. This year’s edition had a colorful opening ceremony with a lot of glitz and glamour blended with a rich Arabian culture.
Scores of football loving fans were spotted outside and inside the stadium enjoying the mouthwatering tournament and the euphoria was mind blowing. On top of it all was some section of Moroccan fans picking up a Senegalese fan and serenading him with Sadio mane chants a the Souq Waqif in Doha, the capital of Qatar. This alone is a justification of how football as a game brings, togetherness, solidarity, love and development among African nations.
